Scientific Writing - LaTeX |
| TeX (pronounced tech) is a typesetting programme which was wriiten by Donald Knuth specifically for the production of scientific documents. It is especially good at producing scientific formulae and well set-out documents that are easy to read. LaTeX is a programme that uses the TeX programme to produce documents. The input is plain text so documents can be written using any typing programme. | ![]() |
More info can be found by following these links to TeX and LaTeX.
LaTeX is free software, and can be downloaded from the LaTeX project site. The software that I use is MiKTeX running with TeXnicCenter, although proTeXt seems to be an easier programme to download and use.
